CHAMBERLIN IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(5-26-2026)

Becky Chamberlin was the top predictor in the weekly pace race held on the Canada Bonita Trail by the ski hill at 6 seconds off her predicted time. She was also the first female finisher in the 2 mile distance at 28:04. Other accurate predictors were: Paul Geimer recording 16 seconds off; Lynn Bjorklund with a 26 second difference and also the best female finisher on the 3 mile course with a time of 29:34; Eric Anderson at 31 seconds off and the top finisher in the 3 mile distance recording a 21:29; and Adrian Medin with a 43 second differential.

On the 1 mile paved course 5 month old Maya Thomas was first at 12:37 and Felix Candia came in as the best male finisher with a time of 13:52.

In the 1 mile trail distance 11 year old Levi Gartz had a 7:15 for top finisher and 3 year old Iris Geimer was the first female with a time of 26:39.

Conor Gavin was the best finisher on the 2 mile course recording a 22:11.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026 at 6:00 PM and will start by the Pajarito Complex on Arizona Avenue. It can be gotten to by going North on Diamond Drive and taking a left on 35th Street and proceeding to the end of the street and taking a right on Arizona Avenue and the Pajarito Complex is just to the left. 1 mile paved and 3 mile hybrid (paved and trail) runs will be available.

GARTZ HAS PERFECT PREDICTION IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(5-19-2026)

Eddie Gartz had a perfect prediction in the weekly pace race held in Overlook Park in White Rock. He predicted a time of 7:40 for his finish time. Other accurate predictors were: Eliverio Acosta at 2 seconds off; Deana Tsang recording a 4 second differential; Adrian Medin at 5 seconds off; and Catherine Hensley with a 10 second difference.

On the 1 mile road course Lynn Bjorklund was the best finisher at 8:02 and Ted Romero was the first male with a time of 8:59.

11 year old Levi Gartz came in first on the 1 mile trail run recording a 7:39 and 3 year old Aster Zavorka was the top female at 38:05.

In the 2 mile trail distance Conor Gavin had a 22:08 for first place and Chloe Keilers was the best female with a time of 27:52.

On the 3 mile trail course Eric Anderson wad the top finisher at 21:28 and Sanna Sevanto had a 30:12 for best female finisher.

Next week's race will be on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026 at 6:00 PM and be on the Canada Bonita Trail across from the Parajito Ski Area. It is located by going up Camp May Road (the ski hill road) which is off West Road to the right and is just past the ski hill lodge on the opposite side of the road. 1 mile road, 1, 2, and 3 mile trail runs will be available.

ANDERSON AND HETRICK TIE FOR BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(5-12-2026)

Eric Anderson and 5 year old Ryder Hetrick were both 6 seconds off their predicted time in the weekly pace race held in Rendji Canyon out on Barranca Mesa. Other accurate predictors were: 5 year old June Rue with a 15 second difference; Adrienne Hetrick recording 18 seconds off; Lukas Zavora with a 21 second differential; and Eugenya Simakov at 23 seconds off as well as the first place female on the 2 mile course at 28:15.

In the 1 mile race Ted Romero was the top finisher with a time of 10:06 and 7 year old Ivana Velechosky was the first female finisher at 11:45.

Warren Scoggins recorded a 28:44 for best finisher in the 2 mile distance.

In the 2.2 mile race Tomas Karella was first at 22:47 and the best female finisher was Roxana Bujack with a time of 30:00.

On the 3.3 mile course Paul Geimer had a 26:42 for best finisher and the top female was Deana Tsang recording a 39:15.

Next week's race will be on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026 at 6:00 PM and will be held in Overlook Park in White Rock on the trail by White Rock Canyon. It can be gotten to taking a left on to Rover Boulevard from State Route # 4 in White Rock and then taking first left onto Meadow Lane from Rover and heading down Meadow Lane approximately a mile and a half or so to the entrance to Overlook Park and taking a left to the start of the race in the parking lot by the playground on the right. 1 mile paved, 1, 2, and 3 mile trail runs will be available.

HARMS IS TOP PREDICTOR AND FIRST PLACE FINISHER IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(5-5-2026)

Madeline Harms was the best predictor as well as the first place finisher in the 1 mile race held on American Springs Road up in the Jemez. She was 12 seconds of her predicted time recording a 9:57. Other accurate predictors were: Chris Michel at 20 seconds off; Lynn Bjorklund recording a 21 second difference as well as the best female finisher on the 3 mile course at 27:57; Edith Acosta coming in at 22 seconds off; and Aurea Rojas with a 23 second difference.

5 year old Ryder Hetrick was the top male finisher on the 1 mile distance with a time of 11:46.

In the 2 mile race Catherine Hensley recorded a 39:44 for first place.

Eric Anderson was the top finisher in the 3 mile distance with a time of 20:54.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, May 12th, 2026 at 6:00 PM on the gravel road past the shooting range. It can be gotten to by taking a left at the traffic circle between Barranca and North Mesas and continuing on San Ildefonso Road on Barranca Mesa until the 90 degree turn at the playground and taking a left and driving down into the canyon on the gravel road past the shooting range approximately 1 mile on the left. 1, 2 mile gravel and 3 mile trail runs will be available.

SHLOK IS TOP PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(4-28-2026)

Paul Shlok was the best predictor in the weekly pace race held on the Canada del Buey Trail in White Rock. He was 1 second off his predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Kathy Daly with a 9 second difference as well as the first finisher in the 2 mile distance with a time of 36:26; Kevin Holsapple recorded 18 seconds off his predicted and was the best male in the 2 mile race at 40:12; Lance Michel was 35 seconds off his predicted time; and Valerio Pinchetti had a 37 second difference.

In the 1 mile race 11 year old Levi Gartz was the top finisher recording a 10:15 and Tamara Jurado had a time of 21:38 for first female finisher.

Eric Anderson was the best finisher on the 3 mile course with a time of 21:07 and Sanna Sevanto was the first female coming in at 28:40.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, May 5th, 2026 at 6:00 PM and will held on American Springs Road which is located approximately 1 and a quarter miles from the junction of State Route # 501 (West Jemez Road) and State Route # 4 (The Back Gate) and taking a right on State Route # 4 West and heading up into the Jemez until the parking area on the right. 1, 2, and 3 mile courses will be available.

GARTZ IS TOP PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(4-21-2026)

David Gartz was the best predictor in the weekly pace race held on Kwage Mesa by the horse stables on North Mesa. He was 3 seconds off his predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Sanna Sevanto with a 4 second difference; Zeke Wilmot recording 7 seconds off; Madeline Harms with a 13 second difference; and Zach Medin at 14 seconds off.

On the 1 mile course 11 year old Levi Gartz was the first finisher with a 7:56 and 7 year old Ivana Velechovsky was the best female recording a 11:40.

Warren Scoggins had a 25:22 for first place in the 2 mile distance.

On the 3 mile course Lukas Zavorka was the top finisher with a 20:34 and Lynn Bjorklund was the first female at 25:47.

Next Week's race will be held on Tuesday, April 28th, 2026 at 6:00 PM on the Canada del Buey Trail in White Rock. The start will be on Meadow Lane by the Chamisa Elementary School right across from Saint Joseph's Hall Catholic Church. 1, 2, and 3 mile courses will be available.

WILMOT IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(4-14-2026)

Zeke Wilmot was the top predictor in the weekly pace race held on the Bayo Canyon Road at the bottom of Main Hill Road at 1 second off his predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Felix Candia with a 3 second difference; Valerio Pinchetti recording 5 seconds off; Eric Anderson at 10 seconds off his prediction; and Lynn Bjorklund with a 12 second difference as well as the first female finisher in the 3 mile distance at 25:57.

11 year old Levi Gartz was the top finisher on the 1 mile course with a time of 8:17 and the best female was 7 year old Ivana Velechovsky recording a 13:06.

In the 2 mile distance Warren Scoggins finished first at 27:56 and Catherine Hensley was the top female coming in at 36:34.

Paul Geimer was the best finisher in the 3 mile distance recording a 20:07.

Next week's race will held on Tuesday, April 21st, 2026 at 6:00 PM on North Mesa just past the horse stables to the South of the rodeo arena by the rest rooms. 1, 2, and 3 mile courses will be available.

ROJAS IS THE TOP PREDICTOR IN THE FIRST PACE RACE OF THE SEASON

(4-7-2026)

Aurea Rojas was the best predictor in the first pace race opening the 52nd season held on the Canyon Rim Trail. She was 4 seconds off her predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Felix Candia recording a 6 second difference; 4 year old Robin Bujack at 8 seconds off; Edith Acosta coming in at 27 seconds off; and tied at 29 seconds was Roxana Bujack who also was the first finisher in the 2 mile distance at 22:03 and Lynn Bjorklund the best 3 mile female finisher with a time of 24:16.

On the 1 mile course 7 year old Ivana Velechovsky was the top finisher coming in at 10:33. The first male was Steve Daly at 11:40.

In the 2 mile distance the best male was Ting Dang recording a 26:21.

Paul Geimer was the top performer on the 3 mile course with a time of 18:50.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, April 14th, 2026 at 6:00 PM and will start on the road to the pollution control plant in Bayo Canyon which is located towards the bottom of Main Hill Road (State Route # 502) by taking a left just before the junction of State Route # 4 to White Rock. 1, 2, and 3 mile courses will be available.
